So do DRM? Titanfall's already evaded all of this shit by going with Microsoft Azure servers, or something like that. So while you might be able to torrent the game, you can't actually play it.

I would kill for FH2 to be on PC...other than GTA V coming out this Sept. I don't see any decent open world/racing games coming out for PC in the next year.

Project CARS should be a good replacement to Forza Motorsport on PC, though.

They won't put it on PC because it's the only thing to force PC/PS4 owners to buy an Xbox. I literally bought a 360 to play Forza 4 and had it for a year and never bought another exclusive title for it. After a year I said I can't justify owning a console for one game and sold it.

Im getting PCars and am thinking of F1 2015 when they go Next gen. Other than that Assetto Corsa is still early access.

Please, that is a lame excuse. You can pirate anything. Nintendo said the same thing about Nintendo 64 vs CD systems. Didn't stop people from playing smash brothers in an emulator.

PCars is definitely a game to get this year...the PC graphics look amazing, the console graphics are above-par (thought not as hyperrealistic).

The only cook thing about GT anymore is the JDM cars but there's way too many of them. Also its just not that great anymore. Although I heard 6 was good.

If you're on PC you're shelling out money to MS either way, through Windows ($100, or so). So it shouldn't really matter...it's not as if MS is making less money through that, since X1 margins aren't huge.

Oh well. At least GTA 5 is coming to PC...

Microsoft is doing it for the same reason the next Tomb Raider game is going to be an Xbox exclusive. I get the whole exclusive titles of one console vs another to force people to buy an Xbox but there is no reason to drag PCs into it. It's not like a PC gamer is going to say "Hey I can only get Halo 6 on Xbox. Guess I won't build that PC now."

Several reasons for this but the most important is resources. Out of all of Microsoft's first party offerings as of late, Forza is the only one which has remained exclusice to the Xbox. The reason for this is that they need a Forza game every year and put simply don't have the resources to produce the title for another platform. Now they could outsource to another developer like FH2 on the 360 but the profit margins are most likely not large enough to justify it for a platform like the PC, considering the dev will take a cut as would most likely steam since that is where their games are being sold.

Good news though. A while back when Microsoft introduced DX12 they showed Forza 5 running on a computer. You may be thinking, so what? Well the important part was that they managed to port it over extremely quickly and cheaply thanks to their whole one eco system thing they are going on about. So who knows Forza might be coming to PC in the future. Do I think it is gonna happen. Nope. Turn 10 are way too controlling to put their games on an open platform like the PC.

Also for 1,000,000th fucking time. Turn 10 are not making Forza Horizon 2, Playground Games are. All Turn 10 is doing is providing technical support with regards to the Forza 5 engine. Now will FH2 come to PC? Still Nope. While Turn 10 aren't making the game they do provide the vast majority of the assets and have a lot of influence over what happens with that game.

In the end it is all down to Microsoft, who for some reason are putting out a lot of their stuff on PC as of late.

I want PD to do the same thing with Gran Turismo - I feel as though the PC racing crowd ( iRacing , Project CARS , etc.) would be more accommodating. PD is such a small studio that they can only update at their pace as opposed to whatever they might progress (i.e. monthly DLC), which seems to really piss off console gamers who paid $60 for a work-in-progress when they're used to plunking that money down for a full game that gets some updates and DLC over its product cycle.

Granted, I haven't played my copy of GT6 that much and haven't dabbled in PC racing at all. I did put a lot of time into GT5 , though.

Yeah It was cool back in the GT1 and GT2 days but now its old hat plus there are tons of JDM models that are just made up to pad the car count. I have heard that 6 is closer to a update on 5 and not really a brand new game which is a shame. PD needs some European and American people on the development team to make it balanced IMHO.
